Townsville | 2021 – Ongoing
Client: KG Engineering
ADM is offering additional engineering support for the design and construction of a prototype pipe autoliner in Townsville. Since 2021, ADM has overseen the engineering on the design and construction of this prototype by working closely with other engineers, drafters, and fabricators. To date, this project has successfully resulted in an improved prototype that has worked during initial testing.
In 2021, KG Engineering asked ADM to assist with the expansion of a prototype pipe autoliner. KG Engineering was contracted to reduce manual labour risks and increase efficiency for a business in Townsville by improving and expanding on an initial autoliner concept. The ambitious prototype, designed to do the work of an entire team, requires additional engineering assistance from ADM.
ADM has worked closely with the design and construction teams involved by providing continued guidance on design choices and engineering assessment as the project progresses. This engineering guidance has involved feasibility assessment, simulations, and analysis for specific components of the prototype before construction.
ADM’s expertise with engineering assessment and simulations have been applied to reduce prototyping costs. During the first stage of this project, the prototype was successfully constructed and tested. Further modifications are being implemented to improve the accuracy and capacity of this autoliner.
